I Can't Access Online Banking

We went on-site to investigate the problem. We found all other websites could be accessed fine. We tried accessing the online banking page in question from another workstation but got the exact same result. For the client, this problem was very frustrating as he could not pay his staff and he could not check any payments the company had received.

At this point we suspected there was a network problem. We checked all the firewall logs and we discovered that the users were attempting a HTTPS session that was denied by their firewall. We accessed their Sonicwall firewall configuration page and enabled it to allow HTTPS connections.

Once this rule on the firewall configuration page had been changed, the client was immediately able to log-on to their online bank account with ease.
